"Restaraunt across the street was hour and a half wait so we went in here. Definitely a dive bar with not much on the menu. Our server/bartender Lisa was super friendly and brought our little man some fries to keep him happy while we were figuring things out. Jalapeño poppers was what you'd expect from a dive bar, but cooked well. We all got burgers and they were pretty decent. Lisa can definitely mix up some drinks. Glad we stopped in and would love to come back without the kid to enjoy some live music"

"Ok, I gotta tell a bit of a story with this review. It had been kind of a stressful day. I just bought a truck and camper, and this was the first weekend trip with them. I worked all day, got the camper hooked up and ready to go, and the kids' bus is 45 minutes late. So we're already behind schedule. Drive two hours to get to the campground, get the trailer parked, open up the camper, and out jumps the cat. Apparently he got in the camper while I was loading stuff up and came along for the ride. So now I'm camping with a cat. It's already past 8 pm by the time I get the camper set up, and instead of immediately getting food, we now have to go to Petco to get cat food and a litter box and a cat harness before they close. It's after 9:30 by the time that's done. The refrigerator appears to not be cold yet. I haven't even tried to see if the stove even works yet. Myself, my wife, and three children have not had dinner. Kids are getting increasingly obnoxious. All the restaurants are closing. All that's left is this dive bar. I walk in and ask if they have food. They do. So I tell them, "Look, I know this is a bar, but I got kids and we're hungry." And the bartender told me don't worry about that, just sit wherever you want, we'll take care of you. So I go out to the truck and gather up the whole family, and the cook/owner greets us at the door and welcomes us in. We sit down and the bartender/server tells us she's a mom and a grandma and she'll take care of us. She was very good with the kids. She talked to them and brought them a game to occupy them. And she was good with dad, too. Because I'm pretty stressed out at this point, and she kind of talked me down a little bit. So I get a cold beer, we order our food, the kids are settling down, and then the food arrives. And it's GOOD. Like, really good. I only heard that the burgers my wife and kids had were good, because I didn't get to try them. I had fried flounder and it was really, really good. Generous portions of fresh fish cooked to perfection. It's funny that sometimes you find the best food in the strangest places, because it certainly didn't look like a fine dining establishment. Nor was it priced as such. Our bill was about 75 dollars before tip, which is less than we usually spend to feed a family of five. We left satisfied and happy, got back to the camper to find the fridge was getting cooler (apparently it just takes a while for them to cool down), and the cat settled in nicely. Had a good night of sleep after that. So yes, I would highly recommend dining at this establishment."

"We met the owner in the parking lot and he convinced us to come in and get some food. I said I wanted a burger and beer and he got it done right! The burger isn't anything crazy but it tastes wonderful. The only downsides are the decor being old and what not and the fries need some seasoning. Good place overall though. Would recommend."
